KP Muhurat theory was developed by
Mr. Kanak Kumar Bosmia, who authored the book
"Easy Way to Learn KP-KP Muhurat." It refers to the application of
Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) astrology to determine auspicious moments (muhurat) for starting significant activities.
KP Muhurat is used to find the best time to perform important tasks such as:
- Marriage
- Housewarming (Griha Pravesh)
- New business or project initiation
- Travel
- Buying property or vehicles
Key Factors Considered in KP Muhurat:
- Ascendant or Lagna: The sub-lord of the Ascendant (Lagna) must signify long-lasting success and stability of the event.
- Relevant Cusp Sub-Lord: The cuspal sub-lord of the relevant house (e.g., the 7th sub-lord for marriage) must signify a favorable house grouping based on KP Rules.
- 11th Sub-Lord: The cuspal sub-lord of the 11th house (gains and fulfillment) must also signify favorable house groupings according to KP Rules.
- Dasha and Bhukti: The person's Muhurat chart must have favorable Dasha and Bhukti periods (the joint period of Dasa-DBA) for the specific activity being planned.
The precision of KP Muhurat comes from its ability to focus not only on planetary positions but also on the sub-lords of various cusps (house divisions). This approach allows for more specific and accurate timing of events, leading to better outcomes for the activities performed.
